Impress your kids with delicious homemade pizza using this simple and easy-to-make dough recipe
Creating homemade pizza is a perfect solution to break the monotony of a daily food routine. If you feel like you’ve been relying on the same recipes, why not try something new like making a delicious pizza at home? Contrary to popular belief, preparing the dough is not as complicated as you might think. In fact, it’s quite easy and quick. Plus, the taste of a homemade pizza is unbeatable compared to ordering or buying pre-made ones. The best part is that you can involve your kids in the process, allowing them to select their preferred toppings and making it a fun family activity.
This is a recipe for homemade pizza dough:
Ingredients:
1 package (.25 ounce) dry yeast
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 1/2 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the dry yeast and sugar in the warm water.
Add in the bread flour, olive oil, and salt, and mix until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a clean, lightly oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two portions.
Roll out each portion of dough to the desired thickness and shape.
Add your favorite pizza toppings and bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
